Eduard is a Ukranian and he moved to Australia about 10 years ago. But sadly for him, his mum and younger brother remained in the Ukraine and politically, this part of the world began destabilising as the Russian Empire slowly began expanding. In this time, Eduard’s mum and brother had missed out on so much, Eduard had gotten his building qualifications, met a wonderful woman called Holly then most significantly, had a beautiful daughter named Arianni.
Eduard and Holly knew that they needed to figure out a way to get them out before things became too difficult. So they began the process of sorting out visas and saving their pennies to pay for them – Eduard worked hours and hours of overtime and they both made sacrifices to be able to afford to do it. They did the paperwork, submitted it and the anxious waiting game began – week after week, month after month, waiting for news of how their application was going. Suddenly, just weeks before the wedding the news arrived that Eduard’s mum and brother’s visas had been approved and that they would be able to move to Australia to reconnect with Eduard and also share in his wedding day. It must have been a pretty amazing day for all of them and showed that love conquers all.
