For a change of pace from weddings and engagements, I recently photographed a youth forum held at Sea World for an awesome Brisbane organisation called QPASTT which stands for the Queensland Program of Assistance to Survivors of Torture and Trauma. The forum was aimed at getting a whole bunch of young people from different backgrounds and provide a space to voice their concerns about their lives and the role of young people in society. As a person with an age starting with a 3, I felt pretty inadequate surrounded by some of these amazing young people who had already achieved so much in their lives, especially in the face of such adversity in instances.
All appears to be quiet on the Western Front! It’s been a peaceful winter in terms of weddings and photography for me so my partner and I have thankfully had some time to prepare our own wedding invitations! It was truly a collaborative DIY effort between the two of us and when we weren’t wanting to kill ourselves after the 9th printer jam for the last hour, it was a lot of fun. Just for reference, Kristen loves buttons (she has a giant jar of them) and I was creepy and made her the included mix CD for our first proper date.

Elise and Paul didn’t have a wedding photographer when they had their wedding in 2007. They were young and couldn’t really afford it so they went without. And that just ain’t right considering how much they now regret not having a photographer.
Paul’s granddad passed away a few years ago and like many of the older Australian generation, was a lover of bowls; This is not only a celebration of love but also a tribute to Paul’s granddad.
Much thanks to the Holland Park Bowls Club in surburban Brisbane for letting us have our little photography session there!
