2 humans, 1 dog, a sunny afternoon and 10 receptacles of paint. It was always going to be this fun, especially for a photographer like me who is always wanting to try something different.
Carly and Jeff are getting married later this year in the beautiful town of Melaney. Their wedding is going to be pretty much a small ceremony followed by a huge party. I’m not normally a gambling man but I’ll wager that it most likely won’t end like this shoot did. Joining Carly and Jeff in the paddocks on the outskirts Brisbane is their ‘child’, Snaps the dog. He watched on eagerly while everything was happening, enjoying himself a delicious meal of horse poo. Incidentally, the shoot had to be delayed a month or so because Snaps had been mauled by a bigger dog and unfortunately had to go to the Pet Hospital to be cared for. Thankfully, he’s back to full health now and his enthusiasm for freedom (considering he *is* a constantly leashed city dog) was finally attained with almost endless plains to roam.

Big thanks to the lovely Kristen for helping me out on the afternoon and also for finding such an awesome venue to destroy with paint. Bigger thanks to Kristen’s friend Suzanne for letting us use her beautiful property; I had no idea such beauty existed within the confines of Brisbane.
