Around 4 weeks ago, Eugene asked me if I could take some photos at his wedding to new fiance Belle. I asked him when it was and he replied, “In the middle of December”. I assumed he meant December 2011; he in fact meant December 2010. December that’s 2 weeks away December. After my initial surprise, he told me it was going to be a small civil ceremony and that he just wanted some nice photos afterwards with Belle and then their families. They’re planning on having a/multiple bigger wedding(s) in Malaysia next year so this was just to tide them over until then. I was more than happy to oblige and I must admit, these were pretty easy. The civil ceremony bit is pretty much the same everywhere but the nice portraits are always fun if you find somewhere nice to go.
I was commenting the sun was still possibly a little high to get the best out of the photos JUST as a giant cloud came over and covered it up. This giant cloud continued to grow until it became a huge storm front which absolutely pummeled Brisbane, some areas having hailstones the size of golf balls. Droplets were falling as the final image in this post was being taken and we ran back and got into to our cars, literally 2 seconds before the skies opened up and a huge deluge poured down.
