Dulsha and Rajith
When I was in pre-school in Sri Lanka, Dulsha promised EVERYONE that when we grew up, we’d get married. It’s now 20 years later and she’s married, but not to me! She met the very nice Rajith while she was at Uni in Sri Lanka and almost 5 years later, she was married in July 2007. I conveniently used the wedding as an excuse to go on a holiday back there with my girlfriend Soph, my mum and my sister.
They were married in the most luxurious hotel in Sri Lanka, the 5 star Hilton in Colombo! An opulent affair indeed with over 400 guests, 3 photographers, 2 videographers and 3 lights-on-stick boys!
The cake you see at the left of frame in the below picture was not cut up or eaten. A small wedge was taken out of the bottom and the bride and groom fed each other in a symbolic gesture and I’m not really sure what happened to the rest!
Soph got into the spirit of things and bought a gorgeous sari to wear to the wedding. This is made out of pure silk, and cost her less than $100 to buy the material and to get it custom sewn!
